Description

Hypeatized is a new indie game development studio located in Sweden. We are two guys with completely opposite skills when it comes to game development. One of us is a code guru and recently started modelling. The other guy is a game designer, level designer, 2D artist and sound designer. Between us we manage to cover most of the skills needed for game development. We really enjoy making games and want to give you games with a unique look and experience.

History

Early history

We started out with almost no knowledgde of game development but both of us come from a gaming background. In the beginning we started to make a 2D game in a custom engine. Rather quickly we expanded the engine to 3D engine with 2D sprites. Unity at that time didn't support the shadow rendering we wanted. Eventually Unity added support for the shadows we required, so we made hard decision to scrap our custom engine and switch to Unity 5.

After that

After the switch to Unity 5 we needed a few months to learn everything that was new to us. Through experimentation, improvement and discussion, Gojigaboga ended up being a first-person game in full 3D. None of us had ever done 3D modelling before so we had to learn that as well. All in all, we learnt a lot of new things the first year. Most of if had to do with us only being two developers on a big game like Gojigaboga.
